Heyyow!
I heard Yakushima island could be a place where many insects, even some dangerous ones, are residing.
When hiking in the forests, how to avoid the habu snakes, mukade, etc? Being quite a long way from hospital care and lone travelling being bitten by those is no good!
Are there less chance if going in spring than summer?
What about the mountain huts on the longer hikes. Are there any risk of having a snake or mukade crawling on me in my sleep?
