Campervan Yakushima

Hi,
I saw there was possibility to rent a small campervan in Yakushima. Anyone experienced this and can tell their opinions?
I will be travelling by myself most likely, so I am thinking of either staying in a hostel or renting this campervan if available.
Maybe going up to the Usuikyo area and stay the night and go hiking early morning to head for the Jomonsugi and back, not having to rely on buses....
Or head for other trails on other parts of the island, or stay somewhere along the coast.
