Ryokan in Fujigoko for solo female traveller? 2016/7/25 00:51
Hi guys,

I'll be heading to Hakone/fuji five lakes from the 14-16 August. I am looking for a ryokan that accepts solo female travellers that is in the fujigoko area. My budget is about 7000 ~ 12000 yen.

I've read online some ryokans don't accept solo travellers much less females, so i was wondering how is the situation with this now?

Thanks

The majority of urban ryokan accepts a solo female guest.
In the past, some sole female guests committed suicide inside ryokan decades ago, threfore, some ryokan especially in rural areas still don't accept a solo female traveller. That's the article you have red I suppose.
But during mid August is the summer holiday week in JP, I think you have difficulties to find a vacant ryokan during the week unless you have already booked.
