Hi!
We're planning to visit Japan this November and will arrive at the Narita Airport then will take the Shinkansen to Kyoto hence JR Pass is already included in our budget.
My question is, does it still make sense to buy a Kansai Thru Pass for the buses and subway or is it still cheaper without the Pass.
Our accommodation will be at Kyoto.
Our itinerary are:
Day 1: Arrive at Narita then travel to Kyoto via Shinkansen Day 2: Osaka (USJ, Namba and Umeda Sky Tower) Day 3: Nara Day 4: Kyoto - West and North areas Day 5: Kyoto - East and South areas Day 6 to 8 : Within Tokyo but still deciding whether to visit Kegon Falls Day 7: Departure back to PH :(

No.
Some private railways like Keihan have 500-700 yen all day passes. You can access Fishimi Inari, Kiyomizudera, Higashiyama, Gion etc from them.
The thru pass costs 1733-2000 per day depending on the validity period you select.
