18 days Hiroshima-Kansai itineray 2016/9/5 01:22
It would be my first solo trip to Japan, and I need some advice for my 18-days itinerary (late-Oct to mid-Nov). I will be travelling to Japan from Korea (Busan) by ferry.

Day 1: Fukuoka to Hiroshima (bus from Fukuoka ferry port to Hakata station and train to Hiroshima)

Day 2: Day trip to Miyajima
Day 3: Day trip to Okunoshima
Day 4: Day trip to Naoshima
Day 5: Hiroshima to Osaka

Day 6-11: Osaka
- day trip to Kobe + Himeji
- day trip to Kinosaki Onsen
- day trip to Mount Koya

Day 11: Osaka to Kyoto
Day 12-17: Kyoto
- day trip to Nara

Day 18: Kyoto to Osaka to Singapore

1. May I know if the itinerary makes sense?
2. Is there a need to get any travel pass?
3. Any recommended onsen?
4. Any recommendation for temple stay?

Hope someone can help me with this. Thanks!

Thats a long break.

1. May I know if the itinerary makes sense?

It does indeed, except Mt Koya which is not a day trip place but a night trip. Staying overnight is half the fun, if not doing the overnight might as well not go. Additionally, you are spending a far bit of time in Osaka. A day too much IMO.

2. Is there a need to get any travel pass?

Nope!

3. Any recommended onsen?

Arima onsen near Osaka/Kyoto, Kurashiki onsen near Hiroshima, Kii-Katsura and Amanhashidate and Kinosaki are great too but far off.

4. Any recommendation for temple stay?

Any in Koya that is between 15k yen to 230k yen. Anything more is over. Also has to be central Koya, near the tourist office.
East of Kyoto too has some but I have not tried them.
