Travelling around Tokyo 2016/10/22 02:23
My family of 3 will be travelling to Tokyo for 7 days 6 nights. Will be arriving at Narita Airport and staying at Shinjuku. I need the following info -
1) Which is the best way to travel around Tokyo (mainly just Central, Northern & Western) including 2 days to Disneyland?
2) Is is worth buying the JR Wide Pass? 10000 yen for 3 days only. This includes Narita Express to Shinjuku Station, right?
3) If I have hotel pick-up, then is there any other type of train passes which is better.
Please advise.

Train and subway are the best options for travel within Tokyo's borders.

Tokyo Wide Pass will be overkill. You wont use 3333 yen of travel per day.

The Narita Express return ticket should work for your trip to and from Shinjuku. Then just get daily passes for subways and trains. They range between 750-1500 per day. The are thoroughly explained in the transportation passes section of this website. OR you can look at the JR East website.

Your options are outlined here:

Use HyperDia to figure out the costs for each specific trip, and then add up your results to see if a certain pass will work out for you (or if it would be better to get a Suica/Pasmo reloadable transport card and use/add value as you go):

Cheers.
