Travelling in Tokyo & Osaka - Costs Involved 2017/1/27 22:00
Hi there,

I will be travelling to Japan in 7 weeks and have just started to get all of my budgets together - one in particular that I seem to have trouble with is the cost of travelling. I have everything planned and know exactly what the dates are, but now am needing to factor in the costs of getting to and from.
I have read up that JR tickets are the way to go but unsure if I would get my money's worth. I've also been told that Buses and UBER are good to consider but others say otherwise. See my itinerary below and let me know your thoughts:

Tokyo (8 days) - Staying in Asakasa-Mitsuke:

Day 1: Temples and Samurai Museum
Day 2: FREE DAY to walk around and catch some sights (Shopping that is) ha
Day 3: Mt-Fuji Yeti Snowtown to ski
Day 4: Ueno Zoo and Maricar
Day 5-6: Disneyland & DisneySea
Day 7: Animetown
Day 8: FREE DAY

Also, the cheapest shinkansen that goes from Tokyo to Shin-Osaka and return. I'm also wanting to prebook this if possible.

I hope all of this makes sense.

Thanks in advance!

But looking at your itinerary, I fail to see why you need to travel between Tokyo and Osaka???
