Hi there Been searching for information on how to get from Yamanote line tranfering at Hamamatsucho TO Tokyo Monorail to Haneda. I only seem to find information on getting information on how to get FROM Haneda... I don't see why they can't post information on the opposite.
Anyway. How is transfer easiest done from Yamanote line to Tokyo Monorail at Hamamatsucho station?
I heard rumors of a transfer gate...
Can you buy a ticket from the origin Yamanote station all the way to Haneda Airport? Or do you have to buy a separate ticket while at Hamamatsucho?
If using a Suica pass, how would that work, I mean, if there is a transfer gate?

There will be a transfer gate as JR and Monorail are from different companies. With an IC card, you swipe when your first get on the Yamanote line. When you get off at Hamamatsucho, you swipe it again at the transfer gate and then finally get off at Haneda.

There's a transfer gate between the two lines? I've never seen it, and can't imagine where it would be, as the stations are in two different buildings....

Transfer gate - go up from the JR platforms - follow the sign, exit the JR gate to the Monorail station, enter the monorail gate, go up again to the platform.
(or use a different route avoiding the monorail - depends where you are travelling from)

They have large signs clear enough to point you to the right directions, and the ticket for the monorail, if you are not using a suica card, should be right next to the gates.

Hamamatsucho Station of JR has a one-way gate which is referred to as Monorail Transfer Gate; however, this gate is, I would say, not a transfer gate but just an exit-only gate, because it does not work as an entrance gate to Tokyo Monorail.
Actually Central Gate of Monorail Hamamatsucho Station is set nearby on the same floor.
Note : Keihin-Tohoku Line Rapid trains make a stop at Hamamatsucho Station. : Hamamatsucho Station of JR is only on the Yamanote Line and the Keihin-Tohoku Line; JR trains which are available between Tokyo and Shinagawa on the other lines do not bring you to Hamamatsucho.
MLD: All Yamanote line(Yellow Green belt cars/inner loop) and Keihin-Tohoku line(for Ofuna) trains same platform's right and left.
Here the directions of trains seem to be confused.
For the section Tabata -- Ueno -- Tokyo -- Shinagawa, where currently 14 stations exist, trains on the Yamanote Linefs outer [clockwise] loop and trains for Ofuna on the Keihin-Tohoku Line go southbound.
In 13 of those 14 stations other than Shinagawa, the platforms are allotted for the two lines by directions, so you can change trains which run in the same direction via one platform.
In Shinagawa Station, the platforms are allotted by lines, so trains on different lines do not use tracks on the two sides of one same platform.
If using a Suica pass, how would that work
A Suica card is an IC transportation card, not a pass. : When you travel by rail with an IC card, your routes are limited, and you pay for the fare corresponding to each session of your train ride(s). : A rail pass lets its holder have train rides freely, at a flat cost, inside its usage area.
For your rail fare to be deducted correctly, you in advance store enough amount of e-money on a Suica card, and use that one same card both at an entrance gate and at an exit gate.
In Shinagawa, there is a transfer gate on the boundary between the JR-East station and the Keikyu station, which works both as a JR / Keikyu exit gate and as a Keikyu / JR entrance gate.
