How to plan 3 days, 4 nights in Hokkaido

Hi, we are a family of 4 with two teenagers. I am planning 2 weeks trip in Tokyo-Hokkaido-Osaka first half of Dec. I will have 3days 4nights at Hokkaido, but looking at Noboribetsu, Niseko, Otaru, Biei and Sapporo - it will be too tight to do all.
Can someone please advise if I can choose to stay at one place, like Sapporo or somewhere as a base to decide on each day's activity, and to avoid going about with the big luggage? As a first time skier, I also have no idea how many days to plan for ski is suitable. Is one day good enough? Should I remove Niseko and Biei from the wish list?
Thank you very much

I can't imagine you'd be satisfied with only one day of skiing. You'll enjoy it more after lots of practice, and a second day would come in handy. I would suggest sticking with Noboribetsu, Sapporo and Otaru. You can stay in Sapporo easily enough.
