Takayama Ryokan - Wanosato or Yumoto Choza?

My soon-to-be wife and I will be traveling to Japan for our honeymoon next month, and we've decided to stay in a ryokan in the Takayama area for two nights. We're trying to decide between Wanosato or Yumoto Choza, and we would love your advice. Is Yumoto Choza worth the extra 40 minutes of travel from Takayama?
Both seem like stunning properties and I know we'd be very happy in either. Yumoto Choza has the edge for us - it seems many highlight it not just as a beautiful ryokan, but perhaps one of the nicest they've ever visited. However, we would like to visit Takayama during the day, so I guess my question comes down to--is Yumoto Choza worth the extra distance? Or are they very comparable, and thus Wanosato's proximity to Takayama gives it the edge?
We have considered staying just one night at a ryokan, and the next night in Shirakawa-go. But, we'll be traveling a lot before our honeymoon (between getting married in Mexico and landing in Japan for our honeymoon, we go to Shanghai and then Hong Kong for a week for work). So, we want some time to decompress, and I think staying two nights in the same place will help... especially two nights in one of these properties.
Your advice is much appreciated!

Haven't stayed at the other one, but have stayed at Yumoto Cyouza (in October, as the red leaves were coming out) and can say that it was lovely.
Good variety of baths, and great food. As above, it's an hour or so bus ride from Takayama, through some lovely countryside.
