i am staying end July in Tokio, i heard going to country side to see the stars and fireflies is a great plan. question is where? Thanks!

Most fireflies flying peaks in June, so too late in that period.
(still fewer numbers flying, but not enough)
You might as well as look for fireworks festival rather than fireflies.

Watching Stars is also not suitable for the new moon, bc there are too many lights in the city in Tokyo.

Let's go out to the suburbs about 2 or 3 hrs far by car,bus or trains.

Basically the latitude does not change greatly in the northern hemisphere,
so the stars that can be seen have almost no difference.
(note)
In Japan more mosquitos flying than yr country.
But no poison just only swells and itches, however, if you get stabbed a lot it may be hard to sleep.
