Divorce - marital asset distribution

Hi all,

Would appreciate your advice. I have recently asked for a Kyogi Rikon with my spouse. We separated about a year ago (i.e. stopped physically living together). We were married for about 7 years before the separation. We have no kids. She stayed home as a housewife but didn't do much around the home; cooked, clean, and did laundry about once a week. Since she didn't work and had no desire to I paid for both our expenses and used to give her monthly allowance.

Now, she is asking for 50% of our marital assets even though she basically bummed around at home that whole time.

Any advice on what to do about her request on the marital asset split?
