UK to JP Driving license category transfer?

Hi all,

I've been looking around and can't see any details anywhere.
Specifically for UK to JP driving license change; are there any categories that don't transfer?

Looking mainly for large vehicles and trailers (C+E or D+E in the UK)

My guess is that C and D both transfer to "Semi-mid-sized Vehicle" (3,500 - 7,500kg vehicle weight, less than 10 passengers) , and that any larger would require further tests.

Anyone know any better?

Needless to say, the police would know best. You can even ask at your local Koban.
