Reserving seats - Tsuruga to Kyoto

Hi, - ref. Reserving seats - Tsuruga to Kyoto using the Hokuriku Arch Pass.

Will visit Japan next week (during golden week) and trying to reserve seats using the Hokuriku Arch Pass - (purchased on the Japan East official web site) for the last segment - Tsuruga to Kyoto.

We already have reserved seats from Tokyo to Tsuruga - booked using the Japan East online reservation - but cannot find out to reserve seats for the last segment (Which is operated by Japan west).

I understand that it would be the Thunderbird express that we would need - that should be covered by the Hokuriku Arch Pass. I have searched a lot on the net - and in the Japan East and Japan West web sites - but cannot find out how to do this.

Can anyone advise / help - would be much appreciated!?

My understanding is that you can use the JR West online reservation only if you purchased the pass via JR West. I suspect that you only option is to get the seat reservation at a station in Japan.
