English/Japanese machine translation is still very immature.
In particular, it's virtually useless for such "artistic" text.

gion shouja no kane ga naru (‹_‰€ทŽา‚ฬเ‚ชˆื‚้)

It must be ‹_‰€ธŽษ‚ฬเ‚ช–ย‚้.
The Gion Shouja Bells Toll.

It comes from a famous phrase Gion shouja no kane no koe (‹_‰€ธŽษ‚ฬเ‚ฬ
บ) in The Tale of the Heike (•ฝ‰ฦ•จŒ๊).

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Tale_of_the_Heike

Kasou Musou Shi (‰ุ‘z–ฒ‘zŽ†)

This phrase is invented by the artist, so it cannot be translated easily.
It literally means "Flower-Fancying Dream-Fancying Paper".

Zekkeishoku (โŒiF)

Fine View/Landscape/Scenery.

Namae wa, Mada Nai (–ผ‘O‚อA–ข‚พ–ณ‚ะB)

I have no name yet.

It comes from a famous phrase in the beginning of I Am a Cat (Œแ”y‚อ”L‚ล
‚ ‚้).

i actually found the correct translation of ''Namae wa, Mada Nai'' from your hints, i found this

http://www.thejapanshop.com/product.php?productid=16427

and at the beginning:

'Wagahai wa neko de aru, namae wa mada nai' is one of the most famous lines in Japanese literature. (it means ''I am a cat, I don't yet have a name'' (impress your Japanese friends by saying that!)

it states that it translates to ''i dont yet have a name''

thanks a bunch for the translation
:)

It reads Ha-chi-ho but its meaning is somewhat vague to me (native Japanese). The only word I can imagine is ”ช•เ (eight steps) but it's usually written in kanji, not in katakana.

Okay 2008/7/28 20:44
Thanks for responding, sorry for multiple posts, but I really want an answer what it means.. do you know anyone who can translate btw? Is it in kanji or old japanese?

Thanks a lot!

Meaning,

It's not in kanji or "old" Japanese, it's "Ha Chi Ho" written in katakana, as Meringue wrote. Katakana characters don't have any intrinsic meaning, so it's difficult to guess what the tattoo artist or tattooee was hoping it meant when it was done.
Be sure to post it to the hanzismatter.com site so everyone can have a chuckle at the poor guy that will have to carry that around on his arm for the rest of his life.

Thanks! 2008/7/28 21:09
Okay, Poor guy;) But I don't think it really matters anyway. it could have been worse. katakana letters are cool anyway:) Think if it meant something really nasty..

Again...Look at this page:
http://www.chinapage.com/main2.html

(i know it's CHINESE not JAPANESE)
I'm wondering if this is correct. Look at the middle of the page."Justice for all in the world". Is that what it really says? Or something else? Thanks again for your patience

Check your link again 2008/7/28 22:19
I don't see "Justice for all the World" in either Chinese or English on that page anywhere.

My guess is... 2008/7/29 06:12
You're looking at three notes in the musical scale, specifically 3, 7, and 5 (ha, chi, and ho). It's known as a diatonic scale. Which ones they are exactly I'm not sure as my last music class was many moons ago.
