14 days Tokyo and Hokkaido in July. 2010/5/1 06:10
Dear Sir,

Would appreciate if U could kindly advise on the most logical way to go within 14 in japan from Tokyo to Hokkaido and back.

My iterinary roughy land at Narita stayed at Tokyo then to Kyoto and Kobe following going to Hokkaido,Sopporo and Hakodate.

Intend to get a JR Pass for family.Pls advise the most efficient route.Thanks

And where do you leave Japan from?

If you were to leave through Osaka, the following would be a very efficient route when using an air pass:

Tokyo - (air) - Hakodate - Sapporo - (air) - Osaka

Way more efficient than a rail pass with which you would spend entire days on board of trains.

If you leave through Narita, the following would be efficient:

Tokyo - (shinkansen) - Osaka - (air) - Sapporo - Hakodate - (air) - Narita

Again, using an air pass.
