I'd like to buy lucky charms in Dazaifu Tenmangu. But b/c of my trip schedule, I can't get there until 4:30pm. So I'd like to know if the shrine and the lucky charm store inside it are still open? What time do they close?

When are you going to come Fukuoka? Dazaifu Tenmangu is usually open until 7PM and in summer (June 1st to August 31st) it is open until 8PM. You can buy charms until the closing time.

Jlady, thank you very much for the info!! I am coming to Fukuoka in mid-August. I'll be coming to Dazaifu from Mojiko 門司港. The route I found takes 1hrs45mins by trains.....and need to transfer 4 times....Do you know if there's any faster way I could take?
