Bringing digital piano the Japan?

I am planning a 2 month trip to Japan and am an avid piano player. I want to be able to practice during my time in Japan and continue taking lessons... I own an 88 key digital piano here in Canada and I am wondering if I should ship it myself in Tokyo rather than put it in storage since I heard electronics in Tokyo are very expensive.
Please advise! Thanks!

I'm not really sure where you got the idea that electronics were VERY expensive in Tokyo.
For example, a Yamaha YDP-S31 on Amazon.com is $899.99 USD.
On Amazon.co.jp it's 55,530yen, which is about $610 USD.
In any case, I'm fairly certain transporting an 88 key digital piano to Japan from Canada won't be that cheap. You may be better off renting one.
