Osaka or Kyoto or Tokyo to Mt Fuji 2010/7/3 13:20
I have 7 days JR Pass and want to use it.

Which is easier and cheaper to travel using the JR Pass to Mt. Fuji?

1) Osaka - Mt Fuji
2) Kyoto - Mt Fuji
3) Tokyo - Mt Fuji

I plan to stay around Osaka for 3 days so will still have 4 days JR Pass. Should I stay in Tokyo after Osaka to use the 4 days, then buy the Fuji Hakone pass?

Thanks.

As, geographically, Mt Fuji is located between Kyoto and Tokyo, it's normally recommendable to drop by it on the way.

True but can't use JR pass 2010/7/3 22:06
True, but i can't use the JR pass around that area. Was thinking to go into Tokyo first, then buy the Fuji Hakone pass.

Is my option a better way? Or no?

Thanks.

Tokyo is Closer 2010/7/4 08:01
Tokyo is geographically closer to Fujisan than Osaka or Kyoto. I'm thinking of dropping by there during my stay in Tokyo, but I'm already going to see Odawara castle (the ride will hopefully give me some really good views of Fujisan).
