Anyone know where is the best place for a picnic relatively near yokohama? Not thinking hanami so no sakura trees needed just somewhere beautiful and natural with a bit of grass to sit on, eat, drink and soak up the sun.

Picnic spots around Yokohama

My favourite spot to relax in the sun is in Sakuragicho (one station from Yokohama station) near the Landmark Tower; there's a grassy area overlooking the harbour. It's not a huge area though.
If you prefer somewhere a bit more spacious and park-y, there's Yamashita Park alongside the waterfront (nearest station Motomachi-Chukagai), and 'Minato no mieru oka' park is just nearby there.
For a quieter park, I also like the park in Okurayama (mind you, it's best in plum and cherry blossom seasons).
