Aomori to Tokyo since disaster? 2011/9/20 22:11
Hai, I got a question about the Shinkansen. I have a project about making a tour through Japan. And after the disaster in March I have questions about the possibilities around movement in Japan. I wanted to use the Shinkansen from Aomori to Tokyo, but isn't that going through the area that has been locked off for public? Could you please help me out with this ASAP?

Thanks in advance

I think you underestimate the size of Japan. The locked off area is very small compared to the size of Japan and does not include and shinkansen route. The transportation situation for travel between Tokyo and Aomori normalized in late April. Here are some basics:

Thank you for your quick reply. I didn't underestimate the size of Japan actually. It was more because of the pictures that it made me confused if it was still possible. Thank you for your help :)
