Kiyomizudera temple opening hour

Dear All Kyoto Expert,
As per web info that opening hour for Kiyomizudera temple is 06.00 - 18.00 and open again on 18.30 for enjoy night illumintaion..
Does it mean if we come in at 17.00 we should out at 18.00 and come in again at 18.30 ? or we just can wait inside the temple to see the illumination at 18.30 ?
Please help to clarify

The illuminations are considered a separate event, so in that situation you would have to exit at 18:00, and then reenter (and re-pay) at 18:30.
