Kyoto Hotel and places to visit 2012/10/23 14:40
Hi,

I will be travelling to Kyoto with my family from Osaka on Mar26 for 2 days and need help. Can anyone suggest where to stay and what places to visit (i.e Temples etc...) and the hotel should ideally be convenient to the places for visit and transport.

Thanks alot.

In general you will be too early for the cherry blossoms but maybe you will get really lucky.

In general pick places of interest from here:-

Some suggested itineraries:-

This one in particular:-

Most people also wish to see Kinkakuji so you could do that on the other day:-

And possibly combine it with other places of interest in Kyoto.

You don't mention any budget but note that this is getting closer to the peak in Kyoto due to cherry blossoms so prices may be higher and some hotels will have minimum night stays.

Kyoto Granvia is one option

Hotel Hokke Club Kyoto is another

Obviously hundreds of others depending on your budget.

If you can, book well in advance.

Enjoy your trip!

I recently stayed at the Citadines Karasuma-Gojo and loved it.
