Location of a beautiful place with Mount Fuji 2013/1/10 18:34
Can anyone please tell me where this location is and how to get there? Is it only in summer we can get this scene that resemble a 'tea plantation'?

That shot looks like it's taken from southern side of the volcano, as the eruption of 1707 left the mound visible on the right. Those seem to be the tea fields close to Shizuoka Prefecture. I know it's not much help, I apologize.

Given the shape of the mountain that's somewhere to the south west of fuji in Shizuoka.
Middle-western shizuoka is pretty famous for its tea.
It looks pretty close though....Fujinomiya perhaps, though not such a tea famous town.

Oh, and incidentally that lump is why Mt Fuji's south face is called its male face and is generally considered the uglier side- despite it being where most photos are taken from due to the shinkansen being on that side.

It is the same photo taken from a tea plantation in Shizuoka in the following webpage.

There are many beautiful tea fields on the eastern slope of Nihondaira near Shizuoka.

The Tea Plantation you are looking for is in Imamiya, Shizuoka.

You probably need to take a taxi from the near-by train station. You'd better be there in the morning of Spring, so the sun's hitting from the front and tea leaves are brighter.

My recommendations are below.

Oishi-Dera (Oishi Temple) in Fujinomiya City, Shizuoka

Miho-no-Matsubara in Shizuka City, Shizuoka
