Noboribetsu is Hokkaido's most famous hot spring resort, beautifully surrounded by forested hills. Noboribetsu's major attraction besides its baths is the Jigokudani or "Hell Valley", where you can view (and smell) sulfurous steam vents, streams and ponds.
