Food theme parks specializes in one type of food or dish and give visitors the opportunity to taste various versions of that dish in one place. Unlike conventional theme parks, food theme parks are located indoors. Many are atmospherically decorated according to a specific epoch or fantasy theme.
A key to the success of food theme parks in Japan, a country of gourmets, is the fact that dishes are not just prepared by anybody, but by reputable restaurants. Accordingly, prices are not cheap (calculate 1000-2000 yen per person). Note also that information in English tends to be limited.
