February 28, 2019 - Asian Pear Picking in Tottori

Didn't know that this Asian peer was first found growing in the wild at the turn of the century which was why it was named as the 20th Century Pear. This type of pears are typically round and smooth with yellow skin. And the taste was astringent but juicy (for me). One could pick as many as he could eat but he is not allowed to bring any back with him. It's worth a visit for family with children, and of course, to the pear-lovers.
