February 28, 2019 - Visiting Tottori Sand Dunes and Sand Museum

The Tottori Sand Dunes are designated as a Japanese national natural monument. The scenery was unique as it was an opposite of an oasis in the dessert in my imagination. The overwhelming feeling of seeing the landscape of sand after ascending up the stairs was a memorable experience. Not far from the Sand Dunes stands the Sand Museum where it showcases some extraordinary and real life looking sculptures created by artists from all over the world using the sands from the Dunes. Strongly recommending it to visitors who enjoy art and creativity.
