Worried about before coming to Japan? 2013/2/28 09:52
Let's say that you got to Japan and you're trying to tell people what you were worried about (sinpai datta) before coming to Japan:

1. I was worried if I will make friends in Japan.

2. I was worried if my Japanese would be (wakarinikui - hard to understand)

3. I was worried if Japanese food would ''suit my taste.''

Thanks so much!!

Nikon in kuru mae,

1. Tomodachi ga dekiru ka dou ka, shinpai datta.
2. Watashi no nihongo ga wakarinikui ka to shinpai datta.
3. Nihon no shokuji ga kuchi in au ka dou ka shinpai datta.

1 and 3 are phrased to say "whether or not..." and 2. is phrased to say "I what worried that my Japanese might be difficult to understand."
