Volunteering in Japan 2013/3/14 22:20
I am interested in volunteering in Tsunami-affected regions of Japan.

Has any forum member volunteered in Japan? I would like to hear your experiences and any advice you can offer.

Can anyone provide weblinks to reputable volunteer organisations working in Japan?

Thank you.

The only one I'm aware of, Peace Boat is not accepting volunteers at this time.

Joji, they are not currently accepting volunteers. If you were to click on the "apply to volunteer" tab, you'll get the message.

I've seen this neutralized American Japanese on TV a couple of times. He is operating a tour company out of the Tohoku area, and organizing volunteering tours for young Japanese students. Maybe you should contact him.
