My family lived in Osaka, Japan from 1946-1948. There was a large street called Lightning Boulevard. What would that be called today? My father, Lt. Col. Powers, was with the 27th Infantry Regiment 25th Inf. Division. Where would his post have been located? I would greatly appreciate any help you can give me. I hope to visit Osaka again.

I was in the 27th wolfhound regiment 47 and 48. Company C. I believe I remember a lt. Col Powers . 27th was located at former Osaka City Univ. that became a Japanese naval academy during the war. Main bldg became Red Cross location for soldiers to relax, play pool, see shows etc.p
