wi-fi and communications in Japan

I will be in Japan for 2 weeks, and will need wi-fi for iPad, and a local SIM for 2 android mobile phones.
where can I purchase these? Do you know what the rates are for local and international calls?

The standard rates for local calls are about 100 yen outgoing, incoming free. International rate vary drastically between companies so do some research based on your expected calling habits.
