milk in japan 2013/3/23 20:14
I"m lactose intolerant, and usually drink only small portions of goat milk. I've tried to drink soy milk and didn't like it.So my question is, will I find any goat milk in Japan at all?
I mean ,can I find it in a supermarket?

I agree, you won't find goat's milk at supermarkets here. You might find you like the soy milk here better though, especially the soy milk sold in green packs as it has small amounts of salt and sugar added which makes it quite easy to drink. Pure soy milk has quite a strong flavour which a lot of people don't like.

You might find almond or rice milk at some international stores or health food stores.

Not all the supermarkets but some carry Accadi milk which is lactose-intolerance-friendl (lactose-hydrolysed milk).

Wondering if you have considered coconut milk? Also, came across this website you might be interested in:

I'm with Sira, give soy milk another try while you're in Japan. I find most soy-based products taste way better here than the States. Also, there are a staggering variety of kinds and flavors of soy milk available.
