My boyfriend is japanese. He owns a house and he had this house for sale. Finally a good opportunity to sale his house appeared and someone willing to pay for the ammount he asked. So he was so happy. Unfortunately he can not find an important paper that states that he owns this house in fact. He has been super worried these days because he can not find this paper. He turned his house upside down and no paper, finally he decided to ask a lawyer what should been done to fix this. and he found out that he must pay 200,000 yen to have a copy of this paper. OHHHH NO! Can you please advice?

Is the document your bf is looking for is 登記簿? If so, it an be obtained just by paying JPY1,000.
