Hi im from Australia and Im traveling to japan. I want to send postcards and packages home to Australia. I am wondering if I write my Australian address on the packages in japanese or in english? Also is there a certain type of way I have to write my address?

Sarah,
Yes, you should write in English. The Japanese postal staff are perfectly capable of reading country names in English, while I somewhat doubt whether Australian postal staff would be able to decipher a Japanese address. But then how would you write an Australian in Japanese anyway? (grin)

You can write in English. It will be kind to a Japanese postal worker, if you write letters clearly as possible.
