Ring with characters on it. Can anyone help? 2013/4/11 03:34
I'm not sure if this is Japanese or Chinese. I am mainly just trying to research the origin of the ring.

As for age, no one seems to know. It is very likely this ring was brought back from World War II.

The ring may be intended for a child or a woman with very small fingers. It fits very tightly around my pink finger and my wife can wear it on her pinky.

Can anyone read it?

Thanks so much in advance!

I think maybe it's Chinese.
Because those charactors are often used as lucky symbols in Chinese.
Also they are used in Japanese also, but in that case, writing like this is a bit rare.

For reference,
the meaning in Japanese, maybe it's no difference in Chinese.
