I don't know in what shape (frozen, fresh, etc.) they came in, but be sure to "cook" them in the soup, be it hot pot or ramen or udon soup.

Are they the white ones? They are chinese, not japanese, and I love them. You can have them a few different ways, I've had them steamed in a sauce but usually cut in half and put in soup. You have to be careful how long you cook them - too long and they go like rubber. And I wouldnt cook them in the soup, it would go too fishy. It is best to cook them in hot water then pop them into the soup just before you eat it.

Esteban7211,
Almost all Asian countries enjoy "fish balls" but each one is quite different. The safest way is to try them in light soup. Then you can start your adventures.
