Can Habu-Sake (Habushu) go bad or expire? 2013/5/24 05:40
I have a bottle of Habu-sake that I brought back from okinawa. Its been about 4 years since I bought and opened it. I know sake can lose its flavor after a few years, I think my bottle being from Okinawa is Awamori, and it does have the habu snake in it. Is it still safe to drink or can the snake rot and poison the alcohol after a certain amount of time.

The snake in Habu sake is not supposed to spoil. If the bottle is from a reputable brewery, it should be still ok after 4 years.
