Mobile phone in Japan 2013/6/24 20:47
Hello guys,

I will to Japan in one week and I am trying to figure out if my phone will work there, Even if many mobile phone simply don't work there, there is some chance that some smart phones will, especially Samsung. I am planning to buy just a sim card to use on my own rather than subscribe a contract.

I got a samsung galaxy gt-s5570 does anyone know if this would work there?

Thanks for your help
Regards

Yes, your galaxy gt-s5570 should work in Japan. Will you be a resident or traveller? That will partially determine what type of service you'll need.

Thanks for your reply. I will be there as tourist. Do you know how could I get a prepaid sim?

In that case a prepaid b-mobile tourist sim or global advance sim will be appropriate if you only need data. If you need data and voice then you will have to go with a more expensive rental sim.
