Rabbit Cafe in Tokyo 2013/7/10 17:49
I am interested in visiting the famous pet cafe in Tokyo.
Is there any good recommendation for rabbit cafe?

Thank you in advance.

My favorite rabbit cafe is Ra.a.g.f in Harajuku: http://www.whereintokyo.com/venues/25417.html

I've also been to Ms. Bunny in Roppongi, but I found their pricing policies to be confusing. (I.e. it ended up being a lot more expensive than I expected.)

Nekorobi in Ikebukuro is among the best of the cat cafes: http://www.bento.com/rev/3036.html

Also Calico in Kichijoji is pretty good.

Thanks Umami for your kind reply!
The reason why I post this is because I've people asking about cat cafe in forum (and one in journey journal), but no for rabbit. I love rabbits, but since I've not enough willpower to keep one, rabbit cafe is good enough :)

I'll keep tab on Harajuku for this!

I hope you enjoy it. Ra.a.g.f also has a branch out in Jiyugaoka, but I haven't been yet....

Yes, thanks for the link. We love rabbits and plan to stay at Dormy Inn a few streets away, so RAAGF will certainly be frequented.

Umami, on another's note, your post piques my interest on.
I've read somewhere, don't know whether it is correct or not, that Meguro is residential area for middle-up people in Tokyo. Since it is middle-up, I'm thinking it will be filled with lines of traditional looking houses (with long wooden walls etc).
Is this correct?

Is Jiyugaoka in Meguro-ku? Frankly wards (ku) aren't all that relevant for describing neighborhoods in Tokyo, they're just administrative jurisdictions.

But you can see what the houses look like easily enough just by going to Google Maps and using Street View. (Most streets in Tokyo are covered by Street View.)

Thanks a lot Umami for your advice! It didn't even cross my mind to use Google Street View.

Turn out, Meguro district is not something I visioned on mind. Yanaka, on the other hand, looks more fitting. Maybe I'll detour there when visiting Ueno park?

Sure, Yanaka is an interesting neighborhood if you like old traditional houses, although they're sometimes interspersed with concrete apartment buildings (as you can see on Google Maps). Worth a look though....

Rabbits have sharp claws and teeth and aren't as gentle as people think, unless they are tiny ones...and even then..

They make a good stew though..
