I am planning on taking my small 2 slice toaster to Japan, will it work through my travel adapter?
If not can I buy a cheap 2 slice pop up toaster there?

As the mains voltage in Japan is only 100 volts - less than half that in the UK - your toaster will probably just warm up the bread without toasting it, assuming it even works at all. Toaster ovens are more popular than pop-up toasters in Japan, but you can easily pick one cheaply, so it is the last thing you want to being in your luggage.
