I'm studing the word "hotondo". I noticed that it has various meaning. Could someone use this word to do some example for me?

- Tokyo wa kotoshi totemo atsukute, hotondo nettai desu. (It's so hot in Tokyo this year that it's almost tropical.) "almost," "almost (like)"
- Hotondo ichi-nichi nani mo tabenaide benkyo shimashita. (I studied throughout the day, barely eating anything at all.) hotondo... + negative = barely (do something)
- Kaijo wa hotondo nihonjin dake de ippai deshita. (The venue was almost full only with Japanese (audience).) "almost" "nearly"
