making phone calls

This might be a stupid question but I want to know for sure. If you are calling Japan from Japan, are there no long distance charges? If there are, I can't seem to find any information on what the charges might be. For example, if I call Tokyo from a hotel in Narita, will that incur charges? Or calling Kyushu from Hokkaido?
Thanks

It depends on your service provider, but landline calls typically have slightly different rates depending on distance. Mobile calls are usually a flat rate. Both usually have cheaper evening and weekend rates.
None of these may apply if you are calling from a hotel phone. In that case the rates are subject to whatever the hotel charges.
