Joining Japanese fan club?

There is one fan club I would like to join but I know you can't if you live outside Japan. I have heard that some services might help foreigners to join bands' fan clubs. Does anyone know more about this? I have been wondering for example, how that can be done when apparently I couldn't use my real foreign address. Also of course fan club ticket sales is always a big part, so how can that be done as member outside Japan?
