Persimmon is a typical autumn and winter fruit.
It's not available in May.

Persimmon are in season now- you usually see them in shops and on trees from Oct to Dec- you won't find them at all in May!

Other than dried persimmons of course, which are available year round!

in Kansai area (Osaka,Kyto,Nara,etc.), dried persimmon is used as a decolation for New Year celebration.
