Step? 2013/12/12 12:01
How would you say "step" (as in "step on the rug")?

Would it be ステップ ?

And how would that be expressed in kanji?

Would it be 場数 ?

(And how would it be pronounced?)

Do you mean as a verb, such as please do not step on the rug? Let's say in a shop? Then that would be "fumu/fumimasu."
The word ステップ is used only for things like dance steps, and predetermined steps or stages in procedures.
場数 is more like number of instances you experience something, and means something altogether different.
