Christmas dinner in Tokyo 2013/12/21 15:36
Hi all,

Looking for a reasonably priced place to eat a Christmas dinner (turkey, veges, dessert, wine, etc) in Tokyo tomorrow or Monday.

Does anybody have any recommendations? Budget is around 5000 yen each.

Many thanks, and Merry Christmas!

Rich :)

We don't eat turkey in Japan. Hard to find. KFC is the choice instead, LOL. Check the site below for restaurants other than KFC.

Christmas is the biggest money-making time of year for restaurants, so you'll probably have trouble finding something for dinner within that budget.

The Hilton Hotel in Nishi-Shinjuku has a Christmas buffet dinner for Y8500 and lunch for Y5000 - both feature turkey as well as other traditional European/American dishes:

Other international hotels might be worth checking out as well.

If you don't mind waiting until Christmas day, the Hobgoblin pubs in Roppongi, Shibuya and Akasaka have Christmas dinner for 5000yen. The Roppongi branch's Christmas dinner is a buffet, so it's very good value. If you can't go on Christmas day, then their website says they are selling a Turkey plate for 1200 yen at ther Christmas Eve party, but it won't be a full dinner at that price. The only option before Christmas day is probably going to a hotel restaurant, which will be more expensive.
