Are monthly subscription boxes big in Japan?

In the US, monthly subscription boxes are a very popular thing. People sign-up for varied prices ($10-$100+) for monthly boxes of products (ex- Birchbox, Monthly Shave Club, Barkbox, etc). I recently found one called Skoshbox that ships a random assortment of Japanese candy for $12 a month, its amazing. I am curious if similar subscription boxes/services are popular in Japan? Or even available?
