Ramen Burgers?

I've been reading that Lotteria has ramen and a char siu in between actual burger buns. I've also read that in America they have ramen as the burger buns and an actual patty in between it. Can anyone tell me more about the ramen burger? Who first invented it? Other than Lotteria, are there other places that serve it?

Last year I went to a snow festival in Yonezawa. One of the stands there sold Ramen Burgers. I'd never heard of it so I tried it. The buns were made from the Ramen. I got the miso type with katsu. Couldn't really eat it as a burger. Too messy, so had to use chopsticks.
