There is no standard DonKi store, so you should try to visit more than one. The biggest ones have pharmacy, food, clothes, gadgets, adult items, costumes and more. They are an excellent source for ceramic knives, and you really should buy at least one of them to take home (placed in checked baggage, of course). Maybe the easiest and biggest one for tourists is the one in Akihabara. It was formerly the main AsoBit City store. They usually have the most excellent Yona Yona Ale for sale.

Best donki in Tokyo I think is the Akihabara one, but the Shinjuku one is quite interesting too. Anyway, all of them are different, you never know what to expect, which is what most people love about Donki :D

Probably the best Donki in Tokyo is the Mega Donki in Higashikurume. The Mega Donki in Koganei has similar product range, but is a bit more cramped. They also have a Home Center near Kokubunji that's nearly as big, but with more DIY section. The newest Donki in Tokyo in Asakusa is probably the nicest if you want something more central.
